A visit to the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the most memorable experiences near Kraków.
The most convinient way is to book the trip at the hotel reception. You will be picked up and droped off at the hotel.
However, the mine can be reached on your own, using public transport and tickets purchased directly on-line from the official website.
Tickets should be purchased a few days in advance directly from the official Wieliczka Salt Mine website: https://www.wieliczka-saltmine.com/
Important notes:
You cannot walk through the mine on your own.
Every ticket includes a guided tour in one of several available languages.
Prices are usually around PLN 100 per person, depending on season and availability.
Travelling by train is the most economical and fastest way to reach the mine.
From the hotel:
Use the Kraków-Grzegórzki train station, located at the end of the street. (Turn right when exiting the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel and go to platform 1)
