Airport Transfer

 

The most budget-friendly & quickest way to reach the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel from the Krakow Airport is by train.

 

Kraków Airport has its own train station connected by a link-bridge to the terminal building  (200 meters from the arrivals).  Follow the signs "Train to city".  When exiting luggage belts, go up one floor and go through a link-bridge above the road. 

 

 

Train Details

 

  • Trains run approximately every 30 minutes throughout the day.
  • The journey to the city centre takes around 25 minutes.
  • Your destination is Kraków-Grzegórzki station — the same station used for reaching the Salt Mine by train.
  • Train tickets can be purchased:
    • from the ticket machine at the airport station,
    • online via the official Koleje Małopolskie website (https://malopolskiekoleje.pl),
    • or on board the train using a credit or debit card.No cash is required.

How to Reach the Hotel After Getting Off the Train

 

 

  • Get off at Kraków-Grzegórzki (a small, modern station).
  • Exit the platform using the stairs or elevator.
  • The hotel is only a few minutes away:
    • When you leave the platform, walk straight ahead toward the main street.
    • Turn left and continue walking along the street until you reach the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel.

Return to the Airport

 

 

  • Trains back to the airport depart with similar frequency.
  • Board the train from Kraków-Grzegórzki in the direction Kraków Lotnisko/Airport.
  • The ride again takes around 25 minutes.

 

 

 

Travelling by train is the most economical and fastest way to reach the mine.

 

From the hotel:

  • Use the Kraków-Grzegórzki train station, located at the end of the street. (Turn right when exiting the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel and go to platform 1)

 

Train details:

  • Trains to Wieliczka run approximately every 30 minutes.

  • For train time table to/from Kraków-Grzegórzki follow this link.

  • The journey takes about 21 minutes.

  • Get off at Wieliczka Rynek-Kopalnia, the station closest to the Salt Mine entrance (a 5-8 minute walk away).

  • Tickets can be purchased on board the train using a credit card, debit card, or mobile phone. No cash is required.

 

Return:

  • Trains depart back to Kraków with similar frequency.

  • Again, get on a train at Wieliczka Rynek-Kopalnia (there is only one platform) and travel to Kraków-Grzegórzki (you will get off on platform 2, so walk back in the opposite direction you just came by train, for exit near the hotel.
